My Inspirations

My Parents

My parents are by far my biggest inspirations. They have helped shape me into who I am today. My mom is the most wonderful woman I know. She's always done everything in her power to keep me and my little brother happy, even if it meant she went without. She has always been there for me, and I know she always will be. I hope that someday I will be as good of a mother as she is. My daddy has always been a superhero in my eyes, ever since I was a little girl. And now that I'm older, I still think he is a superhero. He has done so much to provide what he can for my family, whether it be working 12 hour shifts or going on the road for weeks at a time. I really respect my daddy for that. I love both my parents very much, and they inspire me to be the best person I can be and to go above and beyond in everything I do.

Wonderful Parents :)

Mankind

I feel like there is so much wrong with mankind. I know that it isn't all bad, but I still see so many faults in how the world works. There's still so much that is wrong, and needs to be changed. Looking at the world, and the people in it, make me want to be different. I strive to be accepting of everyone. I believe in tolerance, whether it be for others' religion (or lack of), sexuality, ethnicity or culture. I truly believe in being open minded and co-existing. I try my hardest to not judge a person before I really know them. I want to get to understand people. Instead of feeling for someone, I want to feel with them. I never want to be too caught up in my own life that I can't, or that I'm not willing to, be there for someone when they need a friend to talk to or a shoulder to cry on. I know that not all of humanity is horrible. But there are a lot of things that need to be changed for the better. And I hope that I can be part of that change.
"Human beings by nature want happiness and do not want suffering. With that feeling everyone tries to achieve happiness and tries to get rid of suffering, and everyone has the basic right to do this. In this way, all here are the same, whether rich or poor, educated or uneducated, Easterner or Westerner, believer or non-believer, and within believers whether Buddhist, Christian, Jewish, Muslim, and so on. Basically, from the viewpoint of real human value we are all the same." -Dalai Lama

"May all of humanity awaken to love and compassion."
